ADC Global – I joined a club

ADC welcome letter

ADC Global membership

Yesterday I received my welcoming letter from ADC Global in the mail. Now I have a membership card that gives me access to join club meetings, if I am around of course. I plan to be at some point, and I must admit to having high expectations for this global membership.

ADC membership card

I expect a club to be a mix of business and pleasure and since it is a club to honor winners and display outstanding work, I expect to get a great deal of inspiration eventhough they do not have a Danish chapter. Yet?

Join a club

While travelling in New York I met a freelance photopgrapher who adviced me to find and join a club. As a smart career move and also a great way of getting introduced to others while travelling abroad. She makes a great deal of connections through her club and even get some work every now and then from other members of the club. But mainly she joined an international club to get inspiration and inside knowledge when visiting other countries.

ADC - a global awards club

“ADC is the first global organization to celebrate and award leaders in creative communications” as stated on their website. Their history is impressive going back to the foundation of the club in 1920. They connect creative professionals around the world.

I met ADC Global at OFFF Barcelona festival, where they displayed various projects that required physical interaction and action from the viewer.

ADC winners exhibition

It looked like a mix of installations that could have been made centuries ago, like a Storm P. drawing or invention. They displayed winners of ADC awards. Turn the handle and watch the negatives through a lense:

A great mix of old and new. In the room ADC also exhibited the old journal – a handwritten log ‘Annual of Advertising Art in the United States 1921′. Learn more about ADC Global here.

International Center of Photography

Memorable coffee moments

Memorable coffee moments - Cafe Cafetal

Okay, honestly I enjoy my coffee most, when I am with friends or family and we sit down together to have a rest, a talk and a good cup of java. Those moments of time spent together during a calm morning, afternoon or evening.

But I also admit that my most memorable coffee moments – the moments I remember vividly through my senses for years and years – have been on the journeys I have taken alone. Two of those memorable coffee moments have a very special place in my memory and I treasure them dearly in times with no travels. One is from New York City the other from Mexico. pukka tea – a colorful concept

pukka tea - a colorfull concept

One of my favorite tea brands is pukka tea by English Sebastian Pole. The colorful concept of pukka tea involves the enticingly designed boxes and the equally, beautiful designed bags. Both are a feast for the eyes. On this photo you find a variety of some of my absolute favourites in taste as well as in looks. Of course looks aren’t everything, the taste has to be as delightful as the design. And the taste certainly is – I have never tasted such good organic, herbal teas. The smell, the taste and the looks are intense so beware. The pukka teas are not at all like teas soaked in artificial flavors and smells. This is the real deal, organic herbs combined with ayurvedic knowledge. Læs mere / Read more

Street i Brooklyn NYC

Street Art i Brooklyn NYC
